Why the New Look?

If you’re at all familiar with Improve Group, you may have noticed there’s a new coat of paint on everything you’re interacting with right now. Why is that?

Well, we’re on a journey, and we’ve got some new ideas to share.

Along this journey we’ve realized some things about the nature of construction projects. Among those realizations: construction projects are not always what they seem. While most are typically focused on the classic three dimensions—cost, time and quality—we’ve seen that there are other forces at work. Forces like: why we’re building something in the first place, how to get it financed, how to get it approved, how a project can provide the most transformation for people and communities, what it will change for the surrounding community, and who is best suited to champion that vision. These forces of constructability, financeability, approvability, transformability, and ownability are what we have come to call the 5 Forces of Construction.

Through our experiences working with the Air Force, Army, a professional soccer team, tech companies, and others, we have deepened our knowledge, broadened our vision, and recognized that we have reached a new inflection point for the story of our company. And so, our new look is a commitment to being part of the surging evolution of design and construction. The industry is ready for—and in fact, MUST—change. We’re excited to play a small part in it.

Our new brand style captures a view of the world not shared by most. It brings some humanity back to an industry that has become more machine than man, despite its reliance on human labor. It brings humor and levity back to discussions that have become too dry, too stale, and too focused on what doesn’t ultimately matter. Most importantly, it brings to life the power of Omega, our stakeholder alignment process, which integrates contractors, subs, owners, and financers around a shared vision of a project based not on what the structure could be made of, or made to look like, but around what it could do.

Enter: the new Improve Group.

Ready to reveal to the world a new frame. A frame of mind, a framing of possibilities, a reframing of long-held conventions and a new perspective to frame the possibilities of tomorrow within. Why the new look? Because it’s time that someone started challenging the status quo. We think we’re the ones to do it. Take a look at our work and the Five Forces and join us as we continue along our path to a better built environment.
