Tierra Adentro Charter school
Modernizing education through impactful spaces.
Students today are learning differently thanks to a host of factors like advancing technology, new learning models, and the hybridization of the classroom to name a few. In the midst of these shifts, schools—especially charters— have taken on the responsibility of responding to these changes in many ways, like providing modern learning environments and contemporary curriculums.
The staff at Tierra Adentro NM, a performing arts school in the historic Sawmill district, wanted to build what would be one of the first privately developed ground-up school facilities in the ABQ metro. And because TANM is all about art and performance, it wanted a space that truly matched the culture and the bright colors of New Mexico's art scene.

Improve Group’s systemized offsite construction methodology enabled TANM to speed up construction, but even more importantly, it provided an alternative funding mechanism that enabled it to finance the building interior separately, giving the school the means to fully afford the otherwise costly undertaking.
